The family in the fifties oral history project records 1993.

The collection consists of: twenty-nine audio cassettes containing interviews with twenty-four Rhode Island residents who related their experiences during the 1950s; subject indexes for each interview; original transcripts of taped interviews; information forms and release forms completed by interview subjects; research copies of transcripts and forms; essays written by the student interviewers about their subjects. A copy of the resulting publication, The Family in the Fifties: hope, fear & rock 'n' roll, is included in Series IV.
